Choose the person who hosts
The service’s organizer setting lets the admin or assigned teammate own the meeting. Teammate ownership gives that connected account host controls.
Keep calendar and call together
The meeting link belongs to the organizer’s Google Calendar event, making the session and its scheduled time part of the same workflow.
Handle a change of provider
The 2026 integration update documents re-resolving the host when the assigned teammate changes. Check the new link and notification when a meeting is re-hosted.

Connect Google
Connect the admin or teammate’s Google account through Cowlendar → Team. Review the account you want to own the calendar event and meeting.

Select Google Meet
Edit the service, choose Google Meet for the meeting location and select the organizer. For teammate-led sessions, connect the teammate’s Google account.

Try the session
Create a booking and inspect the calendar event, customer details and meeting link. Join as the intended host and test a booking change.
KNOW HOW IT BEHAVES
Google Calendar and Google Meet have different jobs.
Google Calendar handles the event and its time. Google Meet is where the conversation happens. You can use the calendar integration for in-person services too; select Meet when the booked service actually needs a video session.
Check the host fallback
If the assigned teammate has no Google account connected, the documentation describes a fallback to the admin account.
Meet account limits still apply
Google controls meeting duration, participant limits and Workspace account policies. Cowlendar does not replace those requirements.

Can I book Google Meet calls from Shopify?
Yes. Cowlendar supports Google Meet as a virtual meeting location for bookable services. Connect Google and configure the service’s meeting settings.
Who owns the generated Google Meet link?
The selected meeting organizer owns it. Choose the admin or the assigned teammate; a teammate needs a connected Google account to host through that account.
Do I need to use Google Meet for every service?
No. Calendar events can also be used for in-person bookings. Select the meeting location independently for each service.
Is a Google Workspace subscription included?
No. Google account and Workspace plans are separate. Check the meeting capabilities available with the account you connect.
