Outside commitments count
Enable two-way sync to use calendar events for blocking booking dates and times. Check which account and calendar are connected before testing a conflict.
Choose the meeting owner
Select the assigned teammate or the admin as organizer for each service. A teammate’s connected account can own the event and its Google Meet link.

Connect the account
Open Cowlendar from Shopify, go to Team and edit the admin or teammate. Use Connect Google in the General settings and authorize the intended account.

Configure availability and ownership
Enable two-way sync if outside commitments should affect bookable times. Choose the meeting organizer in the service’s Meeting location settings.

Try both directions
Create a test booking and inspect the Google event. Then add a conflicting calendar event and confirm the intended time is unavailable in the storefront.

Move the meeting. Know what changes.
The 2026 integration can reschedule or cancel an actual booking when its Google event is moved or deleted. Both controls are disabled by default and enabled per teammate. This is separate from displaying bookings or blocking busy times.
Calendar edits are real booking changes
When enabled, deleting the event cancels the booking and triggers the configured customer and order handling.
Manual moves bypass an availability check
Cowlendar trusts the new time selected in Google Calendar. Check staff and capacity before moving an event.
Allow time for the update
Google-originated changes can take 90–120 seconds to arrive. Allow for that delay when checking a rescheduled or cancelled booking.

Does Cowlendar support two-way Google Calendar sync?
Yes. Enable two-way sync after connecting the Google account if calendar events should block Cowlendar availability. Creating booking events and changing bookings from Google are separate settings.
Can each teammate connect their own Google account?
Yes. Connections are managed through Team. The organizer setting determines whether the assigned teammate or admin owns the service’s calendar event.
Can I reschedule a Shopify booking from Google Calendar?
Yes, when the teammate’s rescheduling control is enabled. The selected time is accepted without checking availability, so verify the new slot first.
Do I also need Google Meet?
No. Calendar events can be created for connected accounts regardless of the meeting location. Choose Google Meet only when the service is a virtual meeting.
